I am writing to express my appreciation for the talent that Kathy MacKenzie has provided us. I first contacted Kathy in regards to a property she had listed. The house was stunning! Even for a house that wasn’t currently occupied, she had just enough stuff to make it somehow still seem cozy and 'homey'. We were sold.
At that point we decided we would make an offer on that house and put ours on the market. Since she was so professional, we asked her to list our current house also.
Kathy came to our house and walked through with her "Staging Eye". She was very quickly able to tell us where to focus our efforts to have a much more buyer-friendly setting. She helped us with furniture placement, cleaning techniques, decorations, and also outdoor and lawn staging. She helped us map out a plan of which items to focus on first, and thoroughly explained the benefits of a beautifully staged house.
Her suggestions definitely paid off as we had an offer on our house after only five days. Friends of ours who came by the house after we had it staged were amazed at the transformation. They were shocked at the difference, but quite pleased with the new arrangements! I even had another Realtor who caught me outside one day after showing the house comment on how much they liked the way our house was staged. She told me ‘You must have a Great Realtor to help you stage’. I must say, I completely agree.
Kathy MacKenzie is a great stager, a great Realtor, and from all I know, an all around great person. The realty profession (and future home buyers and sellers) are very lucky to have Kathy.

We feel Kathy took us under her wing and helped in every aspect needed. She marketed the houses heavily; one house was empty, so she staged it for us to add some color and interest...and what a difference it made -- it looked great!!
Not only is Kathy creative but she has that eye that is needed to really make a home pop. Her abilities make buyers interested and already feel like they are home.
There are not enough words to express working with Kathy. She is very professional, knowledgeable, kind, hard-working and made us feel like she was only working for us. Kathy gives 150% to her clients and anyone buying or selling their house would be fortunate to have her as their agent!

After my wife passed away, I did not know where to begin to get the house sold.
I called Kathy MacKenzie, the real estate agent through whom we had purchased the house a few years earlier. Kathy came over, went through the house and prepared a list of suggestions of things that would help sell the house. The initial list was 1.5 pages long. Her ideas were excellent, from removing clutter of magazines and papers I had been keeping, to some needed painting and trimming of shrubs around the house and pool. As I would get some things done, Kathy would come by to review the progress and make additional suggestions.
She is an exceptionally innovative and industrious individual. Her background in marketing and presentation enabled us to present a property for sale that was, indeed, a ‘paradise”. I still retain copies of the brochures and fliers which she prepared. As a side note, I received numerous offers and finally accepted one for about $8000 more than I was expecting. I attribute this to the wonderful eye for beauty and detail which Kathy provided.
