Back Story

Originally from Michigan, Kathy moved to Central Texas immediately upon graduation from college. Her desire to help others combined with her frustration by lack of communication and guidance when she purchased a home led her to obtain a real estate license. “I don't want anyone to experience the mediocre to poor service I received.”

"I want to give my clients the opportunity to relax and enjoy the real estate transaction experience. It can be stress-filled, and when clients are passed from one specialist to the next, as agents focus on quantity, rather than quality, it leaves the clients wondering who they need to call for help, creating even more stress. After obtaining her Texas REALTOR license (May 2000), Kathy (Kathleen) MacKenzie continued to learn and find ways to further help her clients, that included becoming:

  • e-Pro Designation - 2001 (she's good with computers)
  • Certified Feng Shui Consultant - 2005 (helping clients to buy and sell homes using the teachings of feng shui)
  • Author of real estate related books (available on Amazon) - since 2004
  • Certified Mandatory Continuing Education (creating MCE courses and teaching agents across Texas) - 2006
  • Certified CORE Instructor - (To teach pre-license classes) - 2008

  • Certified Home Stager - 2008 (stage homes to sell faster)

  • Real Estate Coach / Trainer - 2010

Together this knowledge, skill, and experience makes her invaluable to her clients.

Kathy's greatest joy is helping others obtain their dreams! Her high energy, creativity, enthusiasm and compassion is used daily as she works to make her clients dreams come true. “I treat others as I'd like to be treated,” she explains.
“I'm honest and willing to do everything I can to meet and exceed my client's goals. Most people I work with ultimately become very good friends, almost like family members. I like that!”

Fun Facts

Kathy relocated to quaint New Braunfels in early 2024 and loves the small-town feel. When not helping her clients, Kathy's interests include:

  • Singing in the church choir

  • Traveling / Exploring
  • Photographing animals and landscapes (as well as houses)
  • Acting in plays and films
  • Writing and recording songs
  • Water-skiing, tennis, and leisurely bike rides through neighborhoods
